While the math works out, I don't think your lighting setup will. While your going to be using all those lights - your not adding in the fact that placement of the bulbs will also work in how much wattage your tank actually gets.

Going by the 2 - 26's and then your single 65 watt, I would bet that your going to get about 80 watts total to your tank. And if your 26's are just for color - you can't really think of them in the Photosynthesis process. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photosynthesis Should help you understand how important your lighting system is.

It might be a good idea for you to throw all of that on ebay and just go buy a real lighting setup and not fuss around with adding everything you have to get a solution.

    Just my 2 cents,
Then again - I am upgrading to MH in about 3 weeks and killing off my t5's that I picked up at Aquatraders - Aquarium Lighting and Supplies at Unbeatable Prices (great place for those starter light systems that are cheap!!!!!)

wait why is the 65 watt 90 bucks but on the web site it says in stores a 95 watt costs only $65 and it even comes with a moon light and everything. explain?

    for instance this http://www.aquatraders.com/24-96W-ho-t6-light-fixture-advance.aspx

and if these lights are really what they seem, i will buy the 156 watt

    http://www.aquatraders.com/36-156w-ho-t6-light-fixture-advance-1.aspx

are they what they seem? cause thats really cheap. what is the shipping price like?

and if i buy from this site, what do u reccomend? just the thing i said i would buy?

Cira030, have you perhaps tried typing with a more positive and tactful approach? Perhaps things may seem frustrating and I'm a very impatient person as well...but looking over some of your previous threads you seem quite hostile. Not trying to rant...but everyone here is extremely helpful and kind...please try and be respectful and I'm sure the gesture will be recipocated. And I'm glad you went with the lights :)

Wait on the coral and get the lighting. Patience is the key to this hobby. Think about how you will feel in two months if you have a tankful of dying coral VS. how you would feel in six months having a tank full of happy coral. 6 months from now the 3 extra months you had to wait won't matter.

Just a brief explanation of what JohnFritts was saying, and he does have a point. The two main points he was making was that with that many different fixtures on a tank your size, the actual light getting into the tank will be diminished. This is because of the placement of the fixtures and unlike a single fixture, the placement of the bulbs cannot be right next to each other. So the light will go more outside the tank and be blocked by the frame and such more so than a single light fixture. Also, you do not get the benefit of having the reflectors to their fullest potential with several individual fixtures. The reflectors are what allow the light to be amplified and by having several fixtures next to each other, the light will be more dispursed.
As a practical matter, it will be very crowded on top of your tank and may be a pain to feed and do water changes.
Anyways, I do have another question for you, do you test your water? Example for reefs you need to test for the basics, ph, nitrate, nitrite and ammonia, as well as Ca, Mg and Alk. You shouldn't buy any corals, at least any new corals unless you test your water and it is within the appropriate levels.

well, congrats to you. But to bounce off on what Marc said. He is completely right, I remember replying to a couple of your threads and there were multiple times you accused people of "not getting their facts right". They're just trying to help you out, give you ideas and pointers to make you successful, not to blame you for things you have done wrong. I remember, 3rd grade...Mrs. Burke's class (not exactly my favorite teacher) But I remember she emphasized a lot on 2 things. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. and if you want a question answered the way you want it answered, you won't get a straight answer (make sense?) You need to be open to others opinions and ideas, and be able to build off them. Not accuse them for not giving you the "right" answer. I don't mean to come off as rash!! By all means, I don't!!

hopefully everything works out well with your light! :)
