So... Over the past few weeks my Blueface has been acting odd and he was getting me worried. The last few days his coloration is starting to change! Im sooo excited :D. His fins are turning a bright yellow and even his tail fin is getting the blue edging with the yellow! :D.

Ill try to get some better pictures when they all settle down. :p I fed them so they had their frenzy. Is anyone familiar with the time period it takes them to fully mature?

CONGRATS!! I hope his transformation is complete, all too often you seen fish that never really transform. Bluefaces are gorgeous fish!

Even if his transformation doesnt complete, I still love my fish's personality and he is still one of my favorite fish along side my purple tang :)

Awesome how long have you had him? I really wanted to get one as well, I heard it can take 5yrs before they start to change. Some of the people I talked to said they had bad luck with them. Eye infections.

Got him in the beginning of august, so... almost 3 months :). Hes been a spazzoid ever since but lately hes just changing his colors quite drasticly. He is the only inhabitant of my aquarium who hasn't gotten ich or any other disease *knock on wood*
