So I have a post in clams but this gets alot more attention. My clam keeps falling off the rock and I've had him for 3 days. What should I do? I've moved him to a higher rock but I don't really have a spot in the rock that will cratel it. Any thoughts?

You need to find as level a place as possible for it to stay. You may need to get a piece of base rock and cut it in half to get a level area.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
You need to be able to either place a tile or flat rock under the clam so it will attach or move it down to an area it will attach.

For whatever the reason it does not like spot you chose. This repeated jumping will quickly stress out the clam and kill it. Not trying to be the bearer of negativity, just had enough clams to know the tell tale signs of trouble.

Good luck, it is a pretty little clam.

Ok thanks for the info! I moved it to the bottom of the tank on a small piece of flat rubble. Crossing my fingers!

you could always get some reefers putty and make a ring around where you want it to stay and then after it attaches remove the putty.

i went to the fish store and bought a rock that looked like it would cradle the clams base. before it was trying to attach to other rocks but aways seemed to come lose when it adjusted its self to the light.
if i wanted to move the rock and clam it would be easy now.

a small clam i have attached to a curved piece of branch rock. im guessing it liked it in that spot i laid it. that clam will never be able to be moved as the larger one i bought the curved rock for
