    My rock is absolutely covered in yellow and pink sponge.I bought it dry from Marco so it didn't come like that.my question is other than from an aesthetic angle is that (heavy sponge population) a good thing bad thing or a neither thing as far as water quality goes.

    Sponges are filter feeders, and this makes them beneficial to your aquarium. So, if the looks do not bother you (many sponges are way cool!) I would not worry too much about it. They're cleaning your water as we type ;)

    Thank you Magnus. Yes I like the colors but just didn't know if that meant there was too much or too little of something in the water :)
