    Has anyone ever broke the internal pot on an 60-48D ?
    And if so can it be fixed or do you just have to bite the bullet ?

    If you can solder... it can be fixed. There should be a part number stamped on the pot. A trip to Raddio Shack should get it done for less than $5.

    IME resoldering circuit board isn't the easiest thing in the world to do. That said, its already broken, it's not like you can make it work worse than it is now. Potentiometers are definitely cheaper than new drivers.
