Meds to start?!

    Wanted to see if anybody treats their fish in a qt prior to placing them in their dt. I have been qtin all of my fish since my ich outbreak 4 months ago. But it is hard to tell what is in the fish's gills and stuff. Is it ok to treat the fish right away in the qt when they come in from the lfs.

    I have heard of this. Sometimes people treat with copper to kill ich and other parasites, sometimes a fresh water dip before the quarantine. However, if you actually quarantine properly, there is no reason to use a medication. I feel that it only stresses the fish out more.
