MH Vs T5

    I like the general look of MH. You'll see a lot of opinions on both.
    I live in Dallas and heat can become an issue if my room temp get's above 77-79. I have to reduce the lighting schedule in the summer. But there's a lot of variables. If you have good fans, move the lights further from the water ect.
    T5 or MH would both be good options.

    av8bluewater what do you run and when you say summer schedule how much time do you mh run?

    I run them 8 hours a day now. When my room temp is hot in the summer my old air conditioner can barely keep up. 100 degree days it get's up to about 77.. so I have to reduce the lighting to about 5-6 hours with fans. My lights are pretty close to the water though so if I raised them it may help too. Everyones setup is different. My reeflo dart pump adds about 3 degrees, If you have an enclosed canopy it will add a lot of heat too.
    A chiller would be cheaper in the long run(and more stable) since the AC can really run up the electric bill.
