theory still works. Give the bubbles more area to dissipate before being dropped into the tank.

It will stop once it get's a slime coat in about 2 weeks, you don't need to go messing with the design.
You need patience in this hobby young grasshopper!

Also, what powerhead are you using? MaxiJet 1200?

I i do need more patience. It is a struggle for me to wait to have the tank and the look I want but maybe having fish is a good thing for more them one reason. Lol.

OK so I will just wait it out. I can do that.

I do not have a power head yet. . I'm looking into getting one before I get corals. Any suggestions?

my Coralife HOB always had micro bubbles. I think you will wait and then need to do something anyway

Did you rinse the skimmer with hot water prior to using it. If not, that should help you with yoour micro bubblles.

I have a remora, they're a great mid priced skimmer but i though it would never break in,took several weeks. Now i've had it over a year and even though the microbubbles have slowed way down,it still lets some out from time to time which is agravating. So I added the surface skimmer box (an add on for the remora) and i'm not impressed with it's surface skimming preformance, but the discharge side has a chamber with foam plus I threw a bag of carbon in there so that the return water has to flow through it and must say it has helped tremendously with micro bubbles.Bout $25 bucks at marine depot.

Hey there, just wanted to post what I didfor a quick fix. I got this box with the bottom cut out of it, put some square cookie cutter material in the bottom of it and threw some filter foam on top of that. Works great for stopping the bubbles but definitely not pleasing to the eye. Let me know if you can see what I did in the picture. Don't know how well it came out.
