You could get a fuge or sump and move your skimmer down there.
Or try the remora skimmer box.

have you cut the skimmer off for day or so to see if thats the culprit ? Could be cavitation from the return pump with a bad impeller or a power head inside the tank. OR a slight air leak on the return pump or line ..

Find the true problem before you try to fix it..

What kind of H2O are you using? If you're treating tap water, certain products (those that promote slime coats) can lead to excessive microbubbles.
I've been using the Remora for nearly 4 months now myself and have seen plenty of microbubbles. I just got my prefilter box in the mail and I plan on installing it this weekend. It's going to be a bit of work -- thoroughly cleaning the skimmer and maxijet, moving live rock and perfectly placing the prefilter. I'll keep you all posted on any changes in my tank.......

I Use Ro Water And Use No Treatments Other Than Esv Bionic. This Has Been Going On For A While. Sometimes They're Minimal And At Other Times It's Quite Alot. My Skimmer Is Still Pulling Very Little Gook Out And I'm Very Fustrated. I Have Tried The Collection Box At Different Heights And Still To No Avail I Have Very Little Gook. My Water Is Crystal Clear And All My Levels Are Great Except Calcium Which I'm Working On.

They are handmade and as such there is no consistency. You roughly have a 50% chance of it working (my figures from the post around the web). I did this research because my Remora hang-on SUCKED!!!
    I’m done bitching now.
I assume you have no overflow or external plumbing from the equipment listed in your signature, is this true?
I would take a look at all of the power heads in your tank. When I was running multiple MJ’s in my tank, they ended up being the culprit. They would create a small amount of micro bubbles but nothing to complain about. However, the more impellers chopping up bubbles the more they multiply.
Turn all of your equipment off and let the water settle. Plug one device in at a time and allow it to run for 10-15 minutes. Start with a large power head, so you can get movement in your tank. Then try the Remora. With these two items going you can then take your time with the rest of the pumps.
