this might be a newbie stupid question but are microbubbles bad for a tank? I ask because when ever i turn my filter off and then turn it back on i have microbubbles for about a minute and then it goes away. I'm just wandering if its a big deal or not.

Nope micro-bubbles aren't bad for the tank. Don't worry about it. Just oxygenates your water a little.

No biggie, people get lots of microbubbles with new skimmers or after feeding for example. Usually all goes away after a while.

Well Microbubbles have been known to annoy corals and can stick to your fish, so its best to keep them down. Can you not just leave the filter running all the time or do you have to switch it off at points?

If it's only occasionally I wouldn't worry about it. Unless you're turning your filter on and off a million times a day I think it's fine. :)
