they are there just territorial but if you dont have a ton of livestock the fish will have plenty of room and there wont be a problem

Very true. After considering what will happen to O2 levels in my tank during a power outage though, I think I'm done stocking.

I think instead of spending money on fish, I'm going to invest in the backup power supply for my MP10.

All four clowns do seem very happy living together at this point, so I'm happy for now.

I've been trying to get pictures loaded of the new monster skimmer, but my memory card reader broke. I'm grounded from posting pictures until I can replace it. I hope that excuse holds up in court against Luna.

This is the new skimmer I'm running:

    Xtreme 160 Protein Skimmer

Needless to say it's some serious overkill. It's doing a much better job than the Coralife 125 that I thought was overkill too though.

I also decided today that I wanted to add a fifth refugium compartment to my setup for caleurpa. It's about 2.5 gallons.

As of now my fuges are as follows:

    2.5 gallon mangrove/GSP chamber
2.5 gallon packed with live rock
5 gallon Chaeto and live rock
    2.5 gallon caleurpa

My tank is at about the two years mark with the same water circulating around in it, so I think the fuges are working.

The community of four clowns is living in surprising harmony. They don't seem to squabble much at all, and I'm yet to see them bother the flasher wrasse. It's definitely a nice look to have all that goofy clown movement in there.

    WHO'S IDEA WAS THAT?!!!

For some dumb reason re-scaping my tank sounded like a good idea today. I don't know why I never remember what a pain that is!

It wasn't in vain thought. I had a good purpose this time.

After seeing colodan's tank and talking to him for awhile, I decided I didn't like where my tank was going. My softies were moving at a fast pace towards my SPS and were soon going to take ownership of the tank. I've been considering giving away the softie infested rocks away and getting dry rock, but I really like some of them. The only way I could think to keep the balance was to get some sand in between them. I decided to make two towers at opposite ends of the tank. One has all the softies on it (which I now realize is A LOT! The other tower has all the SPS on it. I put my LPS in between. I really like the look so far. Tomorrow when the lights come on I'll get some pictures up.

I also moved my sebae anemone, which is getting way too big for my tank, in a fuge compartment with two clowns. It's got a nice little display window down there to see it. I'm hoping to either find it a new home or possibly set up a small tank for it soon.

I did have my share of mishaps during all of this. I cut myself a couple times on the sharp edges of sump baffles. OUCH salt water hurts. My peppermint shrimps chased my blood all over the tank. Didn't know they went for that sort of thing.

I also stirred my 2 years old sand bed. We'll see how that turns out in the morning.

Anyway, pictures in the morning and thanks for stopping to look:)

In that case, the pictures better be worth it for everyone!

I forgot to mention that the bristle worms beat me up pretty good too.

Ah, the joys of a reef tank.

Thats a good Idea for the nem and clowns. I have an old 35 hex I have been thinking about setting up and plumbing into the 90. I might have to do that so my nem can have his own tank.

I would probably plumb it into my main system too. More stability that way. I just have to find space need to convince the wife that I need it.
