How long does it usually take for True Percula clown fish to reach their adult size? Aren't they supposed to reach about 3"?

I have two True percs that I have had for a little over a year now and the female (what I assume is the female as she is larger) is only barely over 1" long and the male (again assuming based on size) is still just under 1".

I am Sure that they are True Percs and not False (who are smaller from what I understand) I have painstakingly counted the dorsal spines and the black outline of their white bars are so thick they fade into eachother.

That depends on amount you feed both amount and frequency and also water quality.

Just like freshwater fish, more they eat, coupled with good water fish will grow relatively quick.

They eat like beasts, and I try to maintain my tank pretty well. Keep up on weekly water changes and use only R/o water.
They just don't seem to want to grow. I got the two smallest clowns that the LFS had thinking that It would be great to raise two babies and watch them grow.Well I've raised them, but they've just stayed tiny. Lol.
Every time I see other peoples clowns they look like Carp compared to my lil ones.
