So am thinking about putting a few of these in my 75 gallon and making a "garden" as some other have done. From what i have read they dont get very big and are not very aggressive. Anyone know of a good site to get these i want to get a few different colored ones.

I have one, a sort of purple/blue/some green.

I got at at my Lfs. MIne hasn't moved, but has nearly doubled in size.

    They're pretty cool.

He'she's aboutr 25% larger now that the pic. I read the max size is about 6in. diameter. Mines about 5.5 now.

I spot feed it about once a week and just uses the light, etc.

I love mine! I would have a hard time buying a mini maxi online only because the colors are so diffrent, some are so colorful while others have very little color to them. They are sweet though!

WOW that one is gorgeous! I see a few on ebay for around 20-30$ and they say what you see is what you get and some are pretty nice looking. No where near as nice as that one tho! How much did you pay at the LFS?

They are not aggressive but pack a powerful sting if they come into contact with other livestock.I would not advise putting them next to other types of anemones as the Maxi-minis will probably be damaged. If you have small, unwary (careless) fish like certain gobies and blennies, it is possible for them to be killed and eaten. Also keep in mind that these anemones do have namatocycsts capable of killing you or making you seriously ill if you are allergic.

Very cool nem, very sticky and pack a very good sting. Mine took out a sailfin tang in my tank (yes a sailfin). If a fish brushes by it and gets too close its game over. I had a hard time getting the thing off my hand when I was putting it in!!!

Yikes! These sound dangerous i dont want them to be killing my fish! Dont the fish know enough to stay away? I have 2 dragonets now and one of them is always hanging out by my condi anemone.

Condi is in a 20gal atm. Setting up a 75 gal tank soon. So might just use the 20 as a carpet anemone tank only lol

If the fish is not from a region were the Anemone is found then they would have no way of identifying it as a threat.
