Hi All: First off, no, it has not jumped out. I bought a flasher wrasse a few days ago and haven't seen it since. Are they known to hide for a bit or perhaps it has died? I don't see a body anywhere? I saw it out swimming in the flow for a bit when I first put him in there but has been MIA since.

How long ago did you add it? And yes they do like to hide at first.

I would think it should be out and about now. They can be difficult to acclimate IIRC. Hope it shows soon.

Every individual is different. My very first wrasse went missing for so long that I'd given up hope and almost forgot about him. Then one day, there he was. lol

well, hopefully - I will have the same luck Mr. Bill :) once he came out, did he swim out and about a lot or stay elusive?

I put a flasher in and it was skittish always hiding. I haven't seen it for a couple weeks now. I assume it's dead hopefully yours is just hiding though. I never find bodies except for tangs I have lost in the past. This would be the fifth fish in this tank to disappear.

He acted like he'd been hatched and raised there- always in the open, first one to the food, etc.

Yeah, that's weird. Maybe hiding in your sand bed.

I hope the wrasse makes an appearance. I had a flasher wrasse a long time ago...I remember it staying wedged in a rock for days when I first acclimated it. I really thought it was a goner, and one day during feeding time, out it popped!
