mixing Kalk

how long do you mix it and how long to let it settle before pouring off the top clear liquid?

 

I would at least wait 4 hours but allot of people let it sit over night, the longer the better.

I run all my ATO water through Kalk. I mix twice a day for 1 hr and then I let it sit for another 1.5 hrs then I allow water through it again. So I guess the answer to your question is 2.5 hrs.

 

I add kalk to my top off water and mix for a few secs and just pour it right in. What would be the benefit of letting it sit?

So all the particles settle to the bottom. You don't want those added to the tank.
