Modding koralias

    Has anyone done this? I have a couple in my 55 gallon but I need more flow. Thought this would be the cost friendly way to go. Let me know 3reefers....

    nah looked it up and asked today! As far as i've heard ya can't! thought you could change out the impellers but nope!

    Why wouldn't you be able to change out impellers? The Koralia pumps (evolutions) use the same body size in order to cut production costs. I would think impeller shaft size would be the same diameter.

    they say ya can't. not real sure why! i'm guessing the internal motor/magnets don't work! It'd be nice, i'd love to do it but hydor says no!

    i'm assuming the added cost to the more powerful koralias aren't solely due to a bigger impeller!
