    Should you keep the leds on all night though because right now i have mine on a timer that go from about 10 to 2 then they turn off...also what is your guys lighting schedules like?

    I run Moon light that I build for ATT here in Ct.LEDS encased in a 1.inch acrylic water proof cylinder and 12 V. from 3 inches up to 48 inches . A few guys here run them you can anchor them on the bottom of the tank if you wanted to :) I just clip mine to the top of the hood myself

    I leave mine on 24/7 adds a little extra actinic during the day.. Cutting LED's on and off like all electronics and regular lamps is what shortens their life span..Bulds as with even most electronics always pops when its hit with the start up surge or power when turned on. Good LED's are estimated to run about 12 yrs

    When i go to best buy, im gonna buy a bag of 460nm Leds and i will post a DIY on how i will make a 48" Moonlight bar ;)

    Hey tangster! What NM Leds cause corals to fluoresce? is it 430 NM - 460?
