We couldn't think of what to call this post, either moonlighting or lights, camera, action... :artist: anyhows enough of tacky titles... here's our real question(s)

Our light from our LFS just came in, and it seems like a beaut! It is a Coralife light (48 inches) Deluxe Lunar Series Fixture. Two 65 Watts 10,000K Daylight lamps, Two true-blue 65 watt true actinic 03 blue compact fluorescent lamps. And Four 3/4 watt lunar blue-moon glow LED lamps.

What we wanted to know is... is there a certain side front or back that the circular moon-lights should go on the tank, on top of the rock or on top of the sand?... does it matter or is it personal preference?

    Also...
Do the daylights need to be installed directly under the vent-fans, the manual did not specify?...

    ....
Is it worth it to get a light timer so we do not have to do it manually? Is there a time where all three lights have to go on?... Any routine would be helpful... We are trying to figure out if all lights are supposed to be on at once, if it's all one at a time, or if there's a special combination for all three?

...any suggestions for leg extensions for the light? The one we have on either a) will pwn our protein skimmer that is hanging in the back of the tank, OR we will not be able to lift up the glass lids in the front area of the tank because the lamp legs sit on top of it... -_-

Thanks again for all the responses!

with out a doubt get a time,r coralife makes digital timer where you can set 7 times a day on/off times you can use the actinics to ramp up to day light and ramp off to moon usually people do this with MH's you can have the actinics go on 45 minutes before the 10k's come on (the 10k's are simulated day light, but you probably already know that) and then have the actinics on 45 minutes after the 10k's before your moon lights come on, as for light placement i'am unsure ask otty
