I have got a smaller 1' Snowflake. He has a few tankmates including a Picasso Trigger, Arc Eye Hawkfish, 6 Line Wrasse, Lawnmower Blenny, and a Dragon Wrasse. His feeding habits are very good. I feed mine either Freeze Dry Krill, Silverside chunks, or frozen shrimp from the store originally for human consumption. I use my feeding tongs to feed him since Picasso likes to steal everything sinking to the bottom. My eel knows the sight of my tongs and comes right out of his hole, snatches then food, and makes a hasty retreat back to his den.

well i was feeding my fish this morning as usual and i figured i would try a frozen mysis shrimp cube i go on about feeding everyone else in the tank doing the seaweed veggie clip for the foxface, flakes for the damsels and then i look down and see my eel eating the block of frozen mysis, now hes wandering around the tank looking for any extras. how much are you guys feeding them a day? These cubs are under a half inch, they are for my scooter blenny but he ends up eating the leftovers overnight

well my 2ft snow flake eats 2 whole whitebate fish and 3 prawns and sometimes extra shrimp or even flakes or squid. so they are capable of eating LOTS even if they are small lol

My eel is still sticking to the mysis cubes, this must of been what he likes the most. The LFS was out of frozen krill cubes so whenever they get those in in the next week ill pick some up and try them. I know they have packs of silversides but theyre at least three inches long, i dont think my eel is going to want those yet, hes still a little guy, or girl.... im not sure which he or she is.

I just feel better knowing the eels eating now, the lions have just been doing their thing hanging out on the rocks and i have had them for four days, and fed them twice since.
I dont think they eat too much either from the research ive been doing.
