In your opinion, what would be the single most important thing in managing a healthy 10 gallon salt water aquarium ?

keeping your evaporation levels nominal.. 10 gallon tank in two days can go to extreme salinity.. along with the other two above suggestions..

Keeping your temperature down in the summer months...that will be tricky with a tank that size...its hard with a large tank.

For me the single most hard thing would be the struggle of wanting to upgrade to a bigger tank :)

Seriously. It's usually a bad idea to skim that small of a tank.
Without frequent WCs a tank that small can't support itself :(
Trust me, my 14 needs frequent attention.
