I would prepare some salt water for some water changes for a few days after the move. When moving use as much of the old stuff as possible. That is what i did for my 3 moves in 6 months. However if you have possession of both places at the same time setup the 60 and slowly every day move more and more of your live rock, sand, and fish over. Some people say also say to get all new live sand but i believe if your sand is only a yr or 2 old then re-use it.

the one piece of advise I have is Do not use your old Sand. I wiped out my entire tank by trying to use the sand.

I wiped out $1000 worth of stuff by reusing sand recently. You will go thru another cycle reguardless of what you do, even a minicycle can get out of hand if left unchecked. On a sadder note, check this out about a buddy of mine who just moved, he lost "shakes" a 10 yr old clown that was about 5"s long during the move. He also lost ALL of his fish and a bunch of corals.

well got everything over. so far the fish look good. i lost a spiny brittle star and over half of my snails and crabs. and it looks like a couple of my coral wont make it. keep you fingers corssed. well see what the water does. i might up my cleaning crew a bit though.

Sounds good. You will get a little cycel but other than that seems you did well with minimal loss.
    Congrats

Wow, I guess my move went really good. Last year I moved from FL to GA, an 8 hour move. I used the same sand and water. I had many cat litter "jugs" with the water, two storage containers with rocks and one with the livestock and a few rocks with an air pump. I only lost a hermit crab and a blue damsel!
