Try to put it in on the rock, preferrably in a cravice... otherwise you can also put it in the sandbed and after a while it will attach.
    Good luck with it :)

When people frag mushrooms, they use all sorts of methods.

One of the more common methods is to cover it with bridal veil from a craft store for a week or so. Then it will attach to the rock. Another way is a glass halfway full of crushed coral...it attaches to the crushed coral and then you can superglue the crushed coral to your LR. There's many other ways. However, it won't attach in current like it's in now....it needs some contact time.

its much easier when it attaches to something like crushed coral and then you have a solid base to secure it to something else. i have been given three frags and at first i didnt have a clue on how to secure these so i had the same problem you're having. id set it on a rock and it'd float away.

i wound up shoving one in a hole in a rock and it later grew out of the hole and is attached there. one of them i tried the crushed coral method. the third i used some coral epoxy that i picked up at the LFS. mix it up, rub it on the foot of the shroom and stick it.
