i was wondering if anyone had mushroom on a high flow area, i have 2 different rocks with mushrooms on separate sides of the tank and theres some high flow area, they dont seen too happy, they open, just not strecht like they like to be, the ric its in the middle part on a big rock, theres not much flow there n same,it looks like its not happy..
i was thinking on getting a yuma, but first i wanna resolve this before i keep adding to it..

IME all of the species you mention prefer calmer waters

often keeping them low down will cause them to stretch more and lift up in order to make more use of the light available

and its often the case that flow is normally lower in areas just above the sand bed

so with that area you get best of both worlds - lower flow so shroom is not anxious about being ripped off the rockwork and the increase is size plus stretch upwards to get more of the light

    +1 on Steve's recommendation.

All ricordeas are more of low light loving corals and yumas especially. Ricordeas are found on vertical faces mainly in the wild.
