It was just a little local band at a bar. Some of the guys had never even played together before lol They were good though! I would love some recommendations. What got me interested in it was Old Crow Medicine Show. They opened up at a Dave Matthews concert I went to last summer and I really enjoyed them.

OCMS is good. Here is just s few others: YMSB (yonder mountain string band) has been one of my fanorites for a number of years. I have probably seen 30+ shows and really enjoy them. Town by Town is by far their best album. GSBG (green sky bluegrass) is another favorite of mine. I have seen several of their shows and they always bring the heat! The Rumpke Mountain boys are a local favorite here in Cincinatti. But, you have to check out the old boys for some really good grass. Del Mccoury, Bill Monroe, Lester Flatt, Earl Skruggs, Ralph Stanley and the Clinch mountain boys, John Hartford, Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, Jerry Garcia and David Grissman, Peter Rowan, and Tony Rice. Others: Bella Fleck, Leftover Salmon, Hot Rize, The Punch Brothers, Jerry Douglas (he owns on the dobro), Sam Bush, and Cadillac Sky.

These are just a few of the great bands. I sure I can think of some others, but this should give you a good start.

Yea I know, who would have guessed. Right now, I'm messing around with Metallica "Fade to Black," Darkest Hour "Fire in the Sky" (really awesome rhythm) and "Free Bird" (I know it's not metal)

I love Darkest Hour. Listen to them everyday. Gotta respect Metallica, but I am personally into more new age stuff. I love Veil Of Maya. Just learned how to play this...

I really like heavy stuff usually, so sorry if this is a little heavy for you. Haha.

Guitar is pretty cool, but I'm just not into growling, it annoys me.

Yeah, Its kinda sad that people cant get past that part of music, but I understand. I personally like it because I am a vocalist as well. Haha.

Ill lighten it up a bit for you. I was going to play this for my school talent show just because I didnt want everyones parents freaking out about screaming in what I write... But very cool technical guitar.

I play a few instruments. I've played trombone and tuba in school. Messed around with flutes, violin and recorder. I've been obsessed with Shakuhachi for the last 7 or 8 years. Its a japanese flute that is normally associated with meditation and monastic music. I normally end up sounding sort of jazzy.

Do you play an instrument? yes
Which one(s)? Piano, Tenor Sax & Clarinet
    What kind? see above
What style music? Any and all, but for the piano, I prefer classical music. You just can't beat the classics for the piano.

Sorry, not that much into Dylan or the Stones, but I do like classic rock. Someone I really like that would be a surprise to most people that know me is Ozzy Osbourne.

Although I don't play it, I am a huge fan of spanish acoustic guitar music.
