So I recently decided to do a fowlr but wanted to keep my clowns and corals. So I went and bought a unfinished ar620 tank for 50 bucks. I had all spare parts for it and made a custom plumbing job in back. I added 3 kz superblue t5 bulbs an a 10k bulb. Been transferring lots of stuff over and today I added in some seaweed to add a cool look to the tank. The clowns love it swimming in and around it.

That is very nice, I really like the high profile scape on the left hand side. The algae adds a lot of colors. Great work.

Thanks, the piece your looking at is made of a ceramic mixture like an ecorock which was curing in my dt tabk for about 5 months so it has some beautiful coloration to it, no longer looks white. Yes i love the algaes, im c=going to be looking for more like mermaids fans, and calupria, and shaving brushes and sponges. Since only clowns in the tank i wont worry bout it being eaten and theyre are some beautiful colored algaes. It just reminds me more of a reef with seaweed growing on it.

Yes you're right it is much more natural. ReefCleaner.com AKA John sometimes offers some really beautiful macro algae as does LAReef.com.

update**I love going to a local fish store where you have a good relationship, went in to browse sure enough bought two fish and the guy gave me a bag with about 5 different awesome types of macro algae. and a great deal on the fish, got the lion for 40 bucks, and a mandarin for 20 thats nice and fat and have been watching him in the store for past two months he's on a good diet of roe and cyclopeeze already so after adding him i tried feeding him the same and he took to it right away no problem. After adding the lion he went into hiding and hung out in the back.( if anyone is confused i have two tanks, a clown tank w the mandarin and a fowlr).

heres a fts and some better ones of the algae.
