I want to do more of a FO violent tank for my bedroom. I am looking at a 55g setup. Nothing fancy.

    55g tank
    No sump
    AquaC Remora Skimmer
    Airstones
    Inexpensive 4x65W PC array
    Auto top-off
    60 lbs LR/ 1-2" LS
    Stealth 200W Heater
    1x Koralia-2
    1x Koralia-3

I am going to start collecting this stuff over the next nine months or so. When I get back from the carribean, I want to set it up. I can collect the base rock a little at a time and keep it boxed up until I need to use it.

Is there anything I am missing?

With a FO, I am not worried about lighting at all. I actually have an el-cheapo 4x55W PC that will do. I am going to put 65W bulbs in it and call it good. No corals are going in this one at all. The fish will eat them. I want violence. I want blood. I want fish pieces floating around in the end.

Do I really need a filter (like a canister filter)?
