So I wanted to go bigger tank from my 55 gallon but my floors just wouldn't support it. I settled on a sweet 75 gallon set up. I haven't started the switch, I am cooking ro water right not. More importantly, I am hoping someone will answer my sand question. Can I switch out totally new dead sand for my existing LS and seed it without harming my livestock/cause a large cycle? Also, I have a slight rust brown flatworn issue. Can I scrub the live rock in SW without damaging the bio-filter to ride them? Please help.

At any rate here is my new set-up. 75 gal display, 30 gal sump & 20 gal fuge. My existing 55 is in the back ground.

Get rid of the flatworms before you do anything, royal pain....High flow will help and you might have to try some chemical assistance. As far as the sand, I don't get what you asking
