good luck! I always had issues with keeping the plexi glass clean enough to let enough light through since it gets all salty and gross pretty quickly.

Thats the thing. You will regret it. I have glass tops for my 72 to prevent jumpers and the glass blocks sooo much light! It gets full of salt creep too. I am in the process of building a canopy to keep the fish in and the light blazing.

What do you mean by this? If you're talking about the splash guard you definitely do not want to remove it...

Yes, do not remove that. Just keep it clean. If salt gets in to the light fixture itself it could either damage the light or even be a potential fire risk. That shield needs to stay in place.

Use egg crate over the tank. That will keep jumpers in, and light can easily go through.

It won't keep out salt creep, but nothing really does, unless it is under water.;)

Your 96w light isn't really enough for a bubble tipped anemone. You are giving less than 2 watts per gallon for your system, BTAs need an upward of 5w of strong lighting, meaning T5 or MH. Another problem I see arising soon is that you have a Maroon in a fairly small tank. Small meaning fish per gallon. Damsels are territorial, and Maroons get VERY territorial as they get older. Prepare for the day when your maroon becomes a female. She will chase every other inhabitant out of the tank that isn't a male maroon that she has bonded with. By the looks of it, it's not too far off. I'm comparing to the size of your tang. I hate to be a bearer of "bad news" but I think knowing is the best form of preparation.

    All that being said:
My guess is that the gody is getting bullied by the maroon and/or the damsel and is trying to escape the tank. My 4 stripe damsel just jumped to his death last week. My female maroon had grown more aggressive the past month and had been chasing the damsel increasingly every day. I came home from work to find the damsel on my towel that covers my ATO water tank, obviously committing suicide. Before that, my maroon wiped out my lawnmower blenny, then my cleaner shrimp. I speak from experience.
Now in my tank, it's only the BTA, male maroon and her, and it will stay that way from now on.
