    problem was, it wasn't cleaning itself anymore, it had sand on it for hours and it didn't move, I even had a little GHA growing on it :( I tried spot feeding it, I had the pumps off for 1/2 hour and it did not eat (or swallow) the little piece of food I gave it :( I think it's dying

    Yeah.. doesn't sound good, sorry :(
    Don't give up on it, though.. it might bounce back.. it will take a long while

    I am very interested in getting a MAX250

    I noticed in your images you setup a sump and fuge, what is wrong with the standard filtration system that made you want to do that?

    There is nothing wrong with the filtration at least I haven't had a problem with it. My initial plan was to just add a small DIY refugium but then decided it would be better to put a sump with a fuge in it - same plumbing. You can never overfilter and I tend to overstock and overfeed so.. ;)
