Ok thanks to eric got the glass and the stand (just) on the 12th. The glass had been sat outside for quite a while so you can imagine the state of it.

Started cleaning the glass braces and getting all the silicone off the edges god i loved that NOT, only have one more side pane to clean now and 2 braces

Went to get some 2" timber today for the metal frame to screw the cladding to also got a sheet of 1400mm 18mm ply for the sump base and tried to get 1480mm of 25mm ply but they wanted a whopping £66 so decided on 25mm mdf will have to waterproof it well got some industrial floor paint that will do the job, also got some 6mm ply for the rear of the stand

Got some meths, Hammerite, size 8 x 1 1/4 screws and added them to the mothers halfs account whilst hes soaking up the sun in greece lol Around £65 all together

The stand is made from 75mm equal angle and was white and rusty so a lick of paint has done the job and no moaning from the better half for the mess yet bonus.

beer time now i think busy day

Yet again cant thank Eric enough hes a sound bloke

Step one of the glass build, the brace bars need cutting down slightly so going to a glass cutter tom but this is where we are so far

So do we think the polystyrene is thick enough any one know the science of why we need it lol ( ERIC )

Needing a new sump now the 47 x 15 x 15 is not going to be high enough, have got a rio 180 tank but only 3ft3 so would need a separate tank next to it for return pump

Cheap labourers for the win! So cute! Perhaps in 5..6 years our daughter will be able to help too. She's just 2 month old now :)

I can confirm no one in this house can reach the bottom of the tank, we found this out when i dropped some blades when i was cleaning the silicone up, Going to need a very long cleaning tool or the kids attached to a pole, and yes the midget slaves have snorkling gear but have not yet got the idea that the snorkel has to be above water lol
