My new monster

I just got my new skimmer in today. I was hoping my MR-1 would cut it but at around 200G of water it was pushing. Especially since I am a fan of "over-skimming".
Anyway here's is the link to where I got it from.

It hasn't started skimming let but I am really impressed with it so far.

Hopefully I have some nasty foam pics tomorrow.

 

i have ASM's and they are very much comparable to a ps-150 and a rps 1000 work fantastic i like the recirc mod the most my LFs has them only pull nice stuff out reef central has a thread just to those skimmers!

 

There in all honesity they are quite a bit nicer than the ASM. The acrylic is nicer. You have the Recirc mod as a real factory model, not just a after market upgrade. They don't leak unlike the ASMs. I am liking the oceanrunner pumps too.

 

Well break in took a day and a half but I thought I would post some pics now that it is foaming. This thing makes some real nice shaving cream. It amazing that such nice white foam can turn so dark!


I tired to take a pic for bubble size but the camera doesn't seem up to it. Very consistant tiny tiny bubbles.

I see the pictures! nice skimmer! I'm looking to purchase a new and bigger skimmer myself for a 125 gallon. I think i'm going with the AquaC ev 120 or 180. I like the water injection method. Anyway, good luck with your new toy(skimmer)!
