Thanks :) I know I'm happy :D Plus, it's a moron repellant. It seems to keep bad drivers away. The front end is so large, people move out of my way when they see me in their rear view. And then the trailer hitch connection has a large metal "step up" installed that sticks about about 8 inches from the back, so if that truck gets rear ended the car's gonna hit that instead of the truck's body. So people stay off my tail too :D

Haha if you took all the chrome off, it'd look like a boring 2005 truck. It wouldn't look bad...just not as nice as it does now. That guy really babied this thing.

Nice score man, I had an 01 that got totalled and have an 08 now, btw though 4 low is not for towing it is for the "OH CRAP I'M STUCK" moments you dont want to go over 10-15mph tops in 4 low

So Iraf...quick question. The manual for the Sport Trac says not to use 4WD on dry pavement. I'm assuming that just means only use 4WD for like wet roads as in rain, snow, bad weather, etc. But my mom doesn't believe me. She thinks not to use 4WD ever except super bad conditions like straight up snow. Clarify?

ok as a clarification the 4wd on your subaru was alltime AWD which is different than 4wd, the transfer case builds a lot of heat when in use and is only made to go to a certain speed range safely, IMO and experience I ONLY use 4wd in very heavy rain (if there is standing water basically) or snow/ice. I also use it anytime I'm pulling the boat out of the water up the ramp, makes getting up steep ramps with all that weight on the rear a lot easier especially since the rear tires are wet when coming back out.

On your 4wd selector what options do you have? My sport trac is a 2wd, but our 06 expedition is a 4x4 and also has an "AWD" mode for anytime use basically allows the traction control to turn on the front wheels at it's discretion, as well as 4h and 4L

The selection I have is 2WD, 4WD High, 4WD Low. Just a three way switch next to the radio.

So pretty much 4WD High for super bad weather (heavy heavy rain, snow, etc), and 4WD Low for if I ever have an "OMG I'm totally stuck...crap..." moments.
