ok guys so many of you may know im cycling a 60g fishless. and im trying to be very patient but yesterday i just killed it for myself.

i turned on my auto dosers for alk and ca and totally forgot to turn it off and they were running for 8 hours. the next morning i wake up to find my glass WHITE! and hard to scrub off. i had to use a razor blade to scrape what i could off. it mustve been because of the alk and ca precip. out..

next when i got home from work i was so depressed because my nitrites is still at what it was 3 days ago.. which is .25 ppm. i thought to myself.. well i cant do a w/c because i might screw up my cycle. (w/c to lower my alk + ca) and i dont want to use muratic acid to lower alk because well.. I've been adding MB7 and i dont want to use any more chemicals.

so i screwed up doing a 3g waterchange. also added 10ml of MB7. and now im starting to add a pinch of pellets.

what do i do? leave the alk and ca till my cycle is over so i can do a w/c? should i add a fish to speed produce waste to speed the cycle?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Why are you rushing it? You've done this before, some cured rock, and MB7 let it sit for a couple more days, if you do not see a decline in nitrite do a water change at that time. No need to add fish or dose anything at this point.

Try not to change too many variables at one time. Less is sometimes more.

You have had a beautiful set up in the past. Good luck.

Not sure what the auto dosers are exactly, but if they use power put them on a timer that's set to only go for a certain amount of time or it'll end up happening again. Otherwise, I'd rethink using them.
