Ok after reading puffer chicks thread, and around on the web,my toadstool should be huge...I think I have an A D D coral..my shrooms, zoas, lps, monti`s all seem fine happy/growing/multiplying ,but my toadstool dos`nt seem to grow at all(have had it for 8 plus months).all it does is kinda extend but then slumps over all day(not much bigger than I got it..I have been running carbon 24/7 since the lps/sps additions, but it was like this way before that..any clue to this???????..my params are 8 dkh(needs to come up a tad),440 cal,8.1 ph, 79.2 temp..spgr 1.026.phos 0 and nitrate 0(but I have nonsense algae visible)working on that...any ideas welcome..if its just a a d d coral im not worried,I was just wondering....TIA..chris.

I've read toadstools are pretty picky about water. What's your magnesium level? Also work on raising the dkh, maybe that will help perk it up.

Yeah try raising that and seeing if it helps! I just remember reading about how toadstools are picky and will let you know if they are unhappy about the water.

My dkh is 9 something (kind of low!) and my toadstool is happy.

My leathers were all kinda grumpy looking til recently, I have started keeping my dkh above 11 and they look a lot better for it.

DKH may help but from experience it is more likely toxins (chemical warfare). I ended up having to put my large and small Toadstools to my Biocube where they have rebounded nicely. You could try moving it to a location up current from the LPS or direct more flow toward it.

There may be something to do with the flow(as stated above .thank u).I have changed around my ph's positions and it seems to be perking up..well will leave the flow how it is and get the dkh and mag up and go from there..thanks all..
