Well I was at the LFS yesterday and was looking around looking for new fish. I went by the tanks looking at the 75 I would like to upgrade to. While dreaming I kept walking to look at a tank I would use for a sump.. and there she was. A 2.5 gallon all glass tank. She said buy me. Well I was trying to figure out an eecuse to buy it and thought about nanos. In the end I bought the tank and have started a nano. Or a nano-nano. I dont know how well its going to work out but I will keep everyone updated. Let me know what you think or any tips for somethig this small. I have a single Turbo Snail, ChocolateChip star a few crabs and a chromie.
    First running.

I love nano reefs, but i think the the crabs are gonna be more of a nuisance than a help. As for the Chromis, they are a shoaling fish from the top of the reef, they need some room to really swim about. Id look into something like the smaller gobies. Some of them can be really cool, and actually thrive in your size tank. Check the spike fin gobie, really cool.

Nice looking tank! I ran two 2.5 gallons for about a year or so, maybe a little more and loved them, the one thing I will say is keep on top of water evaporation in such a small tank, very important. Also, watch all params very carefully and DO NOT OVERDOSE!! I can't tell you how many time's I OD'd my calcium, luckily nothing was ever harmed but I did get a couple scares. BTW that light is going to cook your corals/anything else, I ran the Coralife 2x9(?) watt pc fixture and I ended up completely obliterating a few sps's and a chalice that was worth $75... not cool. Anyways hope you have fun, here's a couple of pics of mine, Had that clam for almost a year.
