Is it a big deal if I add a Naso tang before I add the orange shoulder? I read a few places that the Orange Shoulder should be added first but ws wondering what you guys ahve come across in your experiences. Its a 125g tank btw.

My opinion would be a crap shoot. You never really know.

you can add a Naso to a 125, but it will definitely outgrow the tank. do you have it already? If I were you, I'd substitute a smaller, less active tang.

do you realize how active this fish is, and how big it gets? they get 18 inches long not counting the tail, and are very thick bodied. an adult Naso tang should have an 8 foot tank, IMO. I had a mated pair in a 125 back in the 90s, and they quickly outgrew the tank. I would have upgraded the tank, but I was moving cross country. I gave them to a guy with a 400 gallon reef.
