Yeah so far he's not accepting anything. Omega one veggie pellets, green seaweed on a clip, frozen emerald entree and frozen brine shrimp. Ill try broccoli tomorrow. Should i be worried about the white poo. Will he eventually fight it off himself if i can get him to eat and keep conditions good? Or do you need special anti parasitic food for that.

About to go purchase some broccoli. Ive also read that garlic may entice fish to eat. My flake food has garlic but the Naso doesnt go near it. Should i try get some garlic and in what form would i get it in? What would work best Soaking the food in it or putting maybe a crushed up clove of garlic into a cup of aqaurium water, strain it and dump it into the tank? Anyone have any experience with this?

Broccoli didn't work, garlic soaked food still doesn't make him eat. I've only seen him pick at a rock maybe twice since I got him and i know he cant be getting enough food. purple seaweed and even New life spectrum Thera+A, he still wont take it. How long can a fish go without eating? Will he literally starve himself?

You need to leave the broccoli in there for a couple days because he may not know that it's food yet. If he is picking at rock then that is good thing.

Mine would eat anything I put in the tank, but on that hand I never feed pellet or flake. Mysis, brine with spirulina, broccoli, etc. Try to get a different frozen food besides the emerald (one without a gel binder). For some reason a lot of fish wont eat something with the gel in it. I had that problem once. NONE of my fish will eat anything with a gel binder. You can also try romaine lettuce leaves.
The trick is to find something it will eat, then slowly mix other stuff in with that. Also, try feeding the rest of the fish in a separate area, then squirting it down to the Naso so he can eat by himself. It could be that he just isn't comfortable getting in there with the mix of his new roommates yet, specially since naso's are so docile.

I do think he is confused with what the food actually is if that makes sense. He actually had a piece of freeze dried plankton and that is really the only thing i've seen him eat. That alone was a big accomplishment so hopefully he catches on.

Keep feeding the freeze dried plankton and see if he goes for it. On another note, won't a Naso outgrow an 80 in time?
