Need Advice on Skimmer

Hi ladies and gents and thank you for the help! I've been running a tank for about a year and half, 250 Gallon tank, with 40 gallon total sump water with two seperate sumps connected. TONS of coral mostly LPS and Soft. There is a refugium with macro-algea fully mature, and I have a skimmer that came with the tank. Not sure brand, the symbol on the cup is three semi rounded triangles interconected at the center. By its size I'd say it's rated at a max 150 Gallon tank. Damn thing has almost no volume control and is either really wet or really dry. What is a good in-sump skimmer that I could get in the max $450 price range? So many different opinoins and the reviews on Marine Depot ect. are mostly from ppl who have bad experiences which can happen with any brand.

this is my next skimmer! i have a vortex 100 and it is ok for what im doing right now.

My LFS buddy loves the Impact series; Sea Storm Protein Skimmer, Best Protein Skimmer - Sealife Systems
He uses them at the store. For the money range you mention, look at the 400 gal. one.
