I'm helping my cousin with his tank and he needs a good skimmer for a full reef 100 gallon. I'm looking for one that isn't too expensive. Any recommendations.

I run a reef octopus extreme 160 on my 120 tank. It isnt extremely cheap but i think its a good value for the money. JMO

coralife. it's not the most expensive and it's adaptable to any situation. i'm very pleased with mine and foster and smith has good deals on them. check them out no matter what people say they are not junk.

Both are very good skimmers and have decent pricing.

    Octopus is another good brand.

people are gonna say what they want to, but the fact is it works suprisingly well. i love mine as it fits the bill for my setup. pulls out some thick stuff. its not load either. try one if you don't like it you could probably get your money back out of it. i know theres some folks on here that use them and some more that do but won't say it cuz it doesn't cost an arm n leg.

AquaC EV-180 would be my choice.
