i have a 30 gal sump tank and in the bottom front lower corner the glass cracked like a pizza slice. I been on this project for days and i am out of money. Can i just sylycon the crack. The crack is where i drilled the whole but it was due to titening the bulk head not drilling. It is for my return to another sump not the return pump what can i do? thanks i want to start the tank up aready.

you probably wont be able to silicone the crack. Its going to be jagged, and is going to want to move with water temp changes, outside changes, etc. The corners are supported by a frame, which helps keep them stable.
That being said, it wouldnt hurt to try. Check craigslist also, you could probably just get another tank for 20 bucks or less.

Get another tank bro. Cracked glass needs to be replaced. Packleader has a great idea about Craigs List. I was looking at a 30g in a neighboring town for $15 before I just got the 20 long. Your options are many, except the silicone idea. Sorry.

Yeah, especially since I just now realized you said it was coming from a drilled hole. If its on the side and coming from a hole, you have no chance of sealing it.

can you take a picture, a 30 gallon sump wont have that much water in it you may be able to plate it.
