I drip acclimate EVERYTHING! Snails included... they all have to get used to your water chemistry and temp

Float your fish in the tank long enough to get the temps the same.

Get a piece of hard airline tubing, and some flex airline and an airline adjustable valve.

Heat up the hard tubing using a hair dryer or heat gun and bend it to make a u shape, connect the flex to the hardline, connect the valve to the other end of the flex. hang the hardline into the tank, and start a siphon using the valve to control the flow, you want about 6-8 drips per second, drip the the water into the container with your new livestock, after about 1 hour dump out half the water and drip for another hour then put your new livestock in the tank.

I use tubing like this, from my siphon thing, and tie it in a knot then either tighten or loosen depending on the drip I need.... smaller(1/4" tube) than the tubing in this pic, but the same stuff

the fish may have been wrong from the lfs. temp is more important to acclimate than any other. in the future if you get a chance check your O2 level.

always qt newbies prior to main tank, imop.
