need help

    i have a eshopps psk-75h protein skimmer and it worked fine for the first day than i unplugged it let it sit for about a week and pluged it in it filled up started working fine than the pump started getting really noisy has anyone run into this problem

    Welcome to 3reef! :)

    Without knowing any details about your setup, it's difficult to address the question. I'd advise you to take apart the pump that came with your skimmer and give it a good cleaning. Any number of things could have happened during the week it sat while not running. Could a snail have crawled in to the impeller?

    did you know

    if a turbo snail climbed up the inside of your left leg and then down the inside of your right leg - it would be 3 days, 5 hours and 17 minutes , before you could say
    "Oh that was nice"

    +1 on Reef Sparky - dissamble and check for foreign objects inside it

    Is that to say it would be 5 days, 4 hours, 14 minutes for any snail not equipped with turbo? :)
