is that some kind of seaweed or algae? and can anyone make out the anomie looking thing? there are a few of them grouped together all but one are out of view in this pic. they are small, the 'seaweed' leaves are only a 1/2" or so

now these things are really strange. they are white stalks with a 'palm palm' on top. and they are very small, this view of the rock surface is only about an inch wide.

My wife has a loop from her photography days which it basically a magnifying glass, and we are finding all kinds of crazy things on the rocks, sand and glass. I'm not even going to bother asking about the other stuff unless I can find a why to photograph them :) anyone starting a new tank should have one of these loops, they make the cycle bearable with the enjoyment of finding little creatures coming from the live rock !!!

ahh crap i cant remember the name of them i have some of them also they got a clear tube with tenacles they seem pretty harmless ill look around to see if i can find it im just drawing a blank atm. your leaves look like you are getting sargassam its a leafy alge not a bad one but once it take off it will grow like crazy you may even have to trim it but eventually it will start to dissapear but it may take a while so get out those prunin shears. while you have it the fish will love it all that natural cover
