I would get a Reef Octopus Extreme. They perform as well as anything, and have a good price. They are also well built

For that budget there are a lot of good skimmers.

For a 90 gallon tank, the skimmer that I would want would the the Octo Extreme 200, followed by the Extreme 160 or the NW -200. To move up the price range you could go with an ASM G3 or a Euroreef RS-180.

Here are a few skimmers I like in order of preference.

    PM Bullet-2
    ETSS 600XR
    AquaC EV-240
    ASM-G3

The Bullet is the one I would get if I had to buy new. I ended up with an old style ETSS 600XR and love it. I know people that run AquaC and are very happy. ASM is very similar to Octopus but a little higher end. Same basic design.

If you want to spend some serious money on an awesome skimmer, check out

    Deltec AP600 or APF600
Mini Bubble King 200 or Bubble King DeLuxe 200 Internal.

    Have fun.......John.
