I've got a 155 bowfront that I am in the middle of the planning stages. I have a 55 to use for a refigum, I am choosing a skimmer now, and I saw this. I have read most of the posts here, and you guys really know your stuff. Since I know freshwater, and new to saltwater, I respect your opinions.
I know you get wht you pay for, but I also got a 7 stage RO/DI unit for 114.00!! New! and Works great! What do you think?

I don't like it, doesn't look like a big reaction chamber and the pumps are skeptical. The two things you don't want to skimp on are lights and skimmer. You can really tell a difference between a mediocre skimmer and a great skimmer. I suggest buying a skimmer that is rated for more than what your tank has as well. 155...get one that is at least rated for 200 gallons. I feel that things to look for in a skimmer is the source, a good motor, and chamber capacity, the area that bubbles and water come in contact.

does look fishy pluss be wairy of people who sell fish stuff but don't sell alot. It might be total bogous product and seller wouldn't know the diffrence. Looks like this guys sells mostly sink faucets and such.

What would you recommed then? I was looking at the Coral life one, but i have seen a few threads that half like it, and half don't. Don't want to make a 250.00 dollar mistake!

I have a superskimmer and its not great. My old LFS sold it to me because it was their most expensive skimmer and I was new to saltwater at the time so they talked me into it. I am skeptical too on this. I don't really trust fish stuff from ebay, but thats just me. You've come to a good place and welcome to 3reef.
