I am going to order the 200g bucket of IO RC from FS Aquatiscs & was wondering what to get as far as dosing magnesium. I could just get the dry stuff sense it's cheaper then dose when I do WC's.

What kind, as in brand should I get? Or is there more than one kind? lol::)

All I see from FSA, when I search for SeaChem is this stuff, which is actually for calcium, but just contains magnesium..

I use all the stuff from Bulk Reef Supply.

I really like this stuff. Great product, easy to use and priced very fair compared to other dosing powders, liquids etc.

Or you can just use Epsom salt!

Epsom Salts only contain magnesium sulfates though...no magnesium chlorides. I did use this for a while though. Works well and very inexpensive!

Well I was trying to shop from just one retailer this time to cut down on shipping.

Where would I get Epsom salts?

Walmart or any drug store, it comes in paper carton like a half gallon of milk and is cheap..

Couldn't I also mix this(mag) into my ATO water?

Yup, I used to do the same thing with epsom salt. I would add 1/4 cup of epsom salt then check my mag level and adjust it as needed.

    600 grams will treat 2,500 gallons of h2o :)
