You tried feeding algae strips yet? If you leave an algae clip in there with him while you're gone, that might help keep him fully stocked up on food while you're away. Awesome score, beautiful fish!

As soon as he looks better and like he can swim around easier, get him out of QT and into a reef asap. Tangs don't take to QT very well. If you even have a nano or other reef tank with no possible bullies, that would be your best bet.

The fact that he is eating is a good thing. Good luck with the black tang's recovery:)

Put him in the reef tank last night. the wonds were all healed. He is very very shy. I did notice some signs of ick tonight which stresses me out but I assumed he was going to get some bit of it with all its been through. I am posting a pic of the tank with it in it. It really likes the caves I have made in the rock work.

Well its back in qt has not eaten in two days. I dont know why but now I can see its getting skinny. There is no ick on it and its swimming around but cannot get it to eat. It did look very stressed out and looked to be breathing heavy. ITs sad to say im stating to think that it was in to rough of shape when I got him and not it may be too late! I need him to ear but it wont.

Well despite all my efforts and trying every trick known the fish did not make it. I cleared the ick and the wonds were still healing but it would not eat. After 3-4 days of not eating I found it laying on its side this am. So I sent my buddy a note last night as I thought is was going to the case looking at it before bed in hopes to get another one but hey it was my best effort.
