Nem or Mantis tank?

I want a new project.

I am sitting here looking at my FW 10 gallon, and it's boring. Nothing ever changes. I have always thought that a Nem/Clown tank would be cool. Nothing fancy, just the two. (I know..10 gallon..small..bad idea) I feel that I have enough experience now to try something like this though. Over the tank I have a 96W PC (my plants are huge), so it would be more than enough for a nem at almost 10W/gal.

On the other hand:

I also think that mantis shrimp are awesome.

Both setups would be pretty standard. Nothing to elaborate.

Any feedback? Suggestions? Recommendations? Objections?

yeah that would be cool to do a mantis tank.
is it glass? cause mantis can shatter glass if they strike the tank. but either way would be cool to do!

 

i wouldnt do a nem and clownfish in a 10g but your mantis idea would be a sweet set up. and a mantis shattering glass... not that this is unheard of but the mantis would have to be pretty large

 

yeah pretty sure the mantis would have to be around 12 inches to do that lol I think I'm leaning towards the mantis though..a lot less stress

 

plus way more fun to watch eat than any fish

 

my 5 inch mantis can shatter my glass, i know its risky but unless i poke the glass in front of his face hes not gonna whack it... DEFINITELY go with a mantis they have great personalities

join the mantis club ivan. i just did over the holidays. found a hitch hiker in my lr. and set up immediately. cool to have , good luck and go for it.
