Just stocked my tank with its first inhabitants - Clown, peppermint shrimp, 4 crabs and a pulse coral. My tank is a 29g bc. My clown just hangs out in the front corners, just below the water level. Is this normal behavior in the first few days/months? Does he need a friend to swim around with, to explore with? Im concerned that I may have purchased a fish that is a little dense.:-/

If you've ever observed them in stores, they do that a lot.

He/she? seems very happy and content, and has a hearty appetite. just hangs in one spot is all. I'm hoping he/she is just lonely and will eventually snap out of it??

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
The corner is just playing host. Once he acclimates further hopefully he will find other areas to reside in. Mine are very often found in the corner of the tank, they are only out front for about 4 hours a day and they are 3 years old.
