I just set up my 55 gal with some live rock and found a few neat things on the rocks. Just wondering what they could be! Looks like a feather duster on the left there and something on the right? The second pic has something growing all over one of my many rocks.

    Thanks in advance!

In the first picture, the thing you see on the right side of the rock seems to be a dead coral skeleton; as well as picture 2, you see dead coral skeleton.
good luck with the 55. I have one as well!!!
    post some full tank pics!

There is right now. I thought the aquascaping would be tough, but it didn't even take me 20 mins. One of my friend's uncle's just happens to have a lighting setup for a 55 so that will be here in a few days. I can't wait! ;D

I would recommend replacing the hydrometer with a refractometer.

Refractometer is easier to use, cleaner to use, and more accurate. They just cost more. Can get a nice one for around twenty bucks.

Yeah it's a mirror which is why you can't see all the spaces between the rocks. I kinda took the pic in a rush so it's a little fuzzy too.
